Hari (Nanduri) Naga Venkata Satya Bhanu

Founder and Director of Sri Siddhendra Yogi Kala Nilayam, Satya Bhanu, married Sri Hari Rama Murthy, into one of the traditional Kuchipudi family. Hari Rama Murthy was the one of the principal dancer in Vempati Chinna Satyam’s ballets from 1984.

Satya Bhanu, a student of Kuchipudi Kalakshetra, established by Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, has secured two Gold Medals in M.A., Kuchipudi dance from Sri Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.

She established Sri Siddhendra Yogi Kalanilayam ­in 1993 and has experience of over 18 years as a dance teacher and has been awarded the Ugadi Puraskar in 2010 by Roja Music and Dance Academy, Simhachalam.

Satya Bhanu, has many of her choreographed dance items performed at prestigious programs and festivals, namely Visakha Utsav, Prapancha Telugu Mahasabhalu, Prasarabharati Akasavani, Kalabharati – Visakhapatnam, World Telugu Conference – Visakhapatnam, National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai, India International Center – New Delhi, etc.

Her choreography “Tava Virahe” based on the life and poetry of Jayadeva with poems from Gita Govindam and her ballet on folk traditions of Andhra Pradesh titled “Janapada Sringaram” are well received.

Satya Bhanu extensively tours abroad, namely to the US of A conducting specialized classes on behalf of Nritya School of Kuchipudi Dance and Sri Sai Dance Academy.
