Vedantam Siddhendra Vara Prasad

Siddhendra Vara Prasad, one of the young stars from the Vedantam lineage, is fortunate enough to learn dance from his illustrious father Kuchipudi Dance Guru Sri. Vedantam Radheshyam and his elder brother Sri Vedantam Satya Narasimha Sastry. He is academically well qualified with an MBA from Osmania University and Diploma in Kuchipudi dance & Kuchipudi Yakshaganam. He has performed in over 600 programs and already started imparting his knowledge to the next generation from 2004.

He has performed in the following Kuchipudi Yakshaganam with fervor and also well known for his female impersonification roles too.

Yakshaganam Role:

Bhakta Prahalada Prahalada, Leelavathi,

Narasimha.

Bhama Kalapam Satyabhama, Krishna.

Parvati Parinayam Tarakasura, Parvati, Siva, Manmadha.

Gollakalapam Golla Bhama.

He is equally adept in his solo performances apart from singing and doing nattuvangam following the rich heritage of his fathers and fore fathers having born into the Vedantam family one of the torch bearers of the art form for centuries.

He has also received Scholarship from “C.C.R.T”, Ministry of Tourism and culture, Andhra Pradesh and from Sangeeth Nataka Academy, New Delhi.

He has performed in various places in India and abroad.
