Pasumarthy Srinivasulu born on the 26th August, 1964 in the traditional Kuchipudi family inherited a rich lineage from his father Yakshagana Kalaprapurna Pasumarthi Venu Gopala Krishna Sarma. He started his dance journey under the able guidance and training of his father at the age of six and later was trained by legends Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam and Vedantam Ratthiah Sarma. He has also been trained in Carnatic music by his father.

He has to his credit Diploma in Kuchipudi Dance. He currently teaches Kuchipudi dance apart from lending vocal support to Kuchipudi dance.

He has performed all over the country giving commendable performances in over 300 shows, exhibiting his talent and mastery by portraying a variety of mythological characters in Kuchipudi Yakshaganam.

Pasumarthy Srinivasulu has performed lead roles in several Yakshaganas starting from 1975 (when he was just 11 yeras old) in the World Telugu Conference, Hyderabad and in various prestigious Festivals & stages like Siddhendra Kala Kshetrram, Kuchipudi, Ravindra Bharati, Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Nrityotsava, Hyderabad, AP Formation Day Celebrations, New Delhi, etc.

He has enacted the roles of

  • “Lord Krishna” in Bhamakalapam
  • “Lava & Kusa”, “Bharatha”, “Lord Rama” in Rama Natakam
  • “Hiranya Kasyapa” in Prahalda
  • “Dhrutharaashtra” & “Drona” in Bhagavathgeetha
  • “Dharma Raju” in Narthanasala
  • “Lord Shiva”, “Bhrungiswra”, “Tharakaasura” in Girija Kalyanam

His dance performances has been featured in various parts of the country apart from having performed in the Silicon Andhra Festival held in California, USA for which he was nominated in Guiness Book of World records.
